I've heard good things about Red Line.

i run injector cleaner through my truck about once a month. i usually just get the cheapest or whats on sale at the time. its so cheap why not use it.

I have used lucas oil stabilizer in my truck since i first heard a cam phaser noise. after ive been using it the knock was much more quiet then ever. now that i have a new engine for my first oil change i went with mobil1 and added a quart of oil stabilzer to it. seems to work IMO but not sure about their fuel clener.

As far as Fuel Additives Mallard. It's good to run some injector cleaner through every now and then. Doesn't need to be every tank. But Octane Booster and stuff like that is garbage. It won't do anything performance wise, and will end up hurting your truck in the long run..

As far as Oil Additives like these other guys are talking, IMO you should not be putting anything additional into your oil. Especially in our VERY picky trucks. I run 5w-20 Synthetic with a Motorcraft filter every time because of all the oil horror stories on here.

I bought there 20+ oz bottle for my 4cyl 2002 tacoma that had 120000 miles on it and only got 18 mpg in the city. The bottle claimed at least one mpg gain, clean injectors, and more power. While it is a 4cyl I still didn't experience any of this and feel like my $12.00 was wasted on a bottle of nothing.

But hey if it works for you then more power to you. I treated over 5 tanks with that stuff (per the innstructions) and got nothing in return. If it helps you then use it as you desire I'm not condemning the use just saying it wasn't very efficient in the vehicle I used it in

Use NOS.

Makes a great injector and fuel pump cleaner.

(Yes, Mods, you can beat me for posting that! )

Seriously, though, I just use quality gasoline and leave it at that. When I started driving and I was running a carbed engine fuel additives were crucial, esp in the winter. Now, not so much.

I've used the Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant and Fuel Injector Cleaner...never really noticed anything but a few bucks missing from my wallet. Where I did notice a big difference was changing a dirty fuel filter and switching from unbranded gasoline to Shell.
