Default Front suspension ?'s

04 F150 Fx4 5.4 bone stock

I went to have the front end alligned and they told me my ball joints were shot and i would have to replace the a arms because it was a one piece deal. said it would be about $1200. I took to another shop and they did confirm that the ball joints were shot. Before i got this truck i have a 2000 GMC Sierra and had to replace the ball joints on it. They were press in/out. These in the Ford look very simular. So i would think that these would be the same correct????

Also while I am having these replaced I would like to go ahead and have a leveling kit installed.... 2 inch preferablly any sugestions??????

yes they are a one piece unit. the arm has to be replaced with the joint. also $1200 for balljoints is just plain robbery. i just prices a full set of moog joints on rockauto for around $240. $1000 for labor is a rip-off! get a second estimate or do them yourself and save a buttload of cash.

stock uppers are disposable, once they are wore out, they are junk.

IF you already had moog units, you can replace just the BJ, if have the oem ones, then you need to replace the whole arm
