Default Front Strut Replacement

One of my lower front right coils is almost broken, so it's time to replace the spring. I've got 106k on the truck, so as mind as well replace both strut assemblies.

So my question - What is my best option for an aftermarket replacement strut? I already have a HBS 2.5" leveling kit, so I'm not looking for something like the Rancho quick lift strut.

Side bar question - How does this happen at only 106k? I do 95% road driving with the rest being farm dirt roads at worst. I know I have a slightly heavier tire than stock, but still.

I would hust get a Tenneco quick strut IMO.

The 2.5" level plate on top of the strut is the cause. It changes the suspension geometry. Even with an alignment it puts a little extra tension on the bottom strut bushing. Went through a set on my SCab and just put a set on my SCrew last year.

Go with a quick strut.. replace coilspring and strut at the same time.. ditch the spacer. Get an alignment and done...

Yes. Get those. I've had them in my truck for two years. Easy to replace and they give you a factory type ride.

That is the best way to go, just slightly firmer than stock, not objectionable though.
