It's only normal after you hit something to make it look like that. Put a bed liner on and you won't see it.

Thanks. Hopefully I get a bed cover on there in such a way that it won't be noticeable.

It had a Ford bed liner in it when I bought it (2005 w/ 110k miles). It's got quite a few cracks in it so I took it out. Under it was a mess. Dirt leaves an there was even a dented old AA battery. Anyway, I plan on a sprayed in liner someday. Just got a quote from Line X or $395. Too bad i don't have the $ right now.

It could have also been cause by tying down a motorcycle. A strategically placed front motorcycl,e wheel and some overzealousness with the tiedowns will bend the bed like this everytime. I know from experience.....

No more flexing with this rascal bolted on.

x2 Mine is the same as the original poster. so this is not normal and mine was caused by tiedowns and motorcycles. not that noticable unless you look at it carefully

I got line x too thin
If I did it again I would go with Rhino liner really thick
Line X is real thin and comes up once you hit it with a shovel

Mine bed is similar to the OP. It came that way free of charge from the previous owner. But you can see where something big and square hit the front of the bed and dented it. I still put my motorcycle in straight.

Thats the installers fault, not the Line-X itself. The installer determines how thick the material is applied. Also if its chipping you need to bring the truck in and have them fix it, it has a lifetime warranty. If it was prepped right it should not chip or peel, might need to find a better installer.
