Is there a way to wire it so the fogs and the high beams can be on at the same time?

 

Look up Bambi mod. Very easy to do.

 

You can in an 08 just smash your switch all the way to the right and pull out for fogs?

idk about your 08 because my company F150 '08 doesn't have Fogs or I would test it, but in the 04-06 at least the fog lights automatically turn off if your high beams are on because it's against the law to have more than 4 lights on at a time and your high beams count as 2 a piece. So you can have either Low Beams + Fogs or just High Beams. All cars do this including the other ones sitting in my garage.

 

 

When did '08s get square fogs?

If you bought your truck like that either the law has changed or a previous owner did the bambi mod. Does your Fog light indicator even stay on when you turn the high beams on? Mine turns off but my Fogs stay on because I have done this bambi mod. But even in all my other vehicles and friends vehicles Fog lights turn off when High Beams go on and the indicator light for the fogs will shut off to indicate such.

It could also be regional Law. This is the law I have found for Texas at least.

 

Swapped it out myself Nope never touched it I'm second owner- first owner was my pops friend.

I'm pretty sure our vehicles come slightly modded as my brother is a RCMP here in Canada he says people drive with like eight lights on sometimes and its the least of his worries.

And yeah my light does stay on!
