Default Fog Light Issue..

So I have replaced the bulbs several times in my left (round) fog light on my 2006. The left fog light continues to burn out. Is this an issue with the bulb types? or a short of some sort?

When you out the bulbs in r you touching them with you fingers? Cuz if you are your oils from your hands r getting on the bulb and causing it to prematurely burn out

Oil from fingers is a good point. Also check that no moisture is in the plug; although this usually causes the fuse to blow.

I installed Silverstar ultra's they work awesome. don't touch the bulb itself while installing them.

Just dont go above 45w bulbs and youll be okay. My buddy put in 55w ones and they melted the lens into a blurry, bubbly plastic. I have 42w ones in mine now and they are fine.

I also had moisture in one of my housings that destroyed one of my bulbs. Make sure there is no condensation building up in the housing itself. Luckily our round fog housings are $13 apiece at rockauto.com. Ask me how and why I know that...haha.

I had issues with both of my fog lights.

Turns out the pins in the connector on both sides had ground out and the new bulbs would not make a proper connection.

Replaced both wiring harnesses and now when is foggy, I have lots of light :-)
