no that's fine, i am just trying to say the truck is way overpriced, but i hate overpaid for trucks in the past because they were mint and or/exactly what i wanted.

I would love to find a nice 4x4 F-150 around the $15K with about 40-50K miles.

I'll say this...I bought my 04 SuperCrew Lariat with 53k miles with the stuff in my sig for $15,000 in North Florida. If its worth it to you i would maybe consider looking around down here becasue the trucks are probably a lot cheaper...taking a road trip to save a couple grand would definatly be worth your time in my opinion

Doing something like that has crossed my mind. I know a lady I work with bought a Dodge Caravan in Florida and it was much cheaper that way.

Is Ebay a good place to do that? I've heard of good deals there just a bit nervous doing that.

That's a GREAT idea, you can check trucks in FLORIDA using:
CRAIGSLIST.ORG
AUTOTRADER.COM
EBAY.COM

I have plenty of family in the Twin Cities so I'll expand my searches. I've primarily been looking in Central Iowa and Western Iowa.

Here is another question...I have an 04 Bonneville that I'm thinking I'll probably trade in. I have 86K on it, I drove 100 miles round trip to work the past 2 years and have really added up some miles. I've gotten transferred so my drive is only 7 mi, which is why I can justify a pickup now. I've heard that I should try to trade my car or sell it before it his 90,000 mi cause at that point it will lose a lot of value. What do you guys think?

I would not pay that much for that truck. I live near the twin cities and thats about the prices up here. But you never pay sticker, always go a few grand less. Plus in Iowa the cost of living is dramatically lower than minnesota so that price is outrageous. Another tip, when you go to the dealer dont tell him your trading, first negotiate your price then tell him you've decided to trade and take that off the price you agreed on. There are tons of tricks, just do a google search.

just sell your car outright if you can, it will put more $$ in your pocket.

Again...In my opinion you need to start looking down here in the South...I got a buddy lookin at an 06 Scab Lariat 4x4 with 30k miles for 12990 in south Geogria...I found my truck on autotrader and just called the guy up and worked a deal...I'm sure you could do it the same way on ebay if the seller looks reputable which can typically be judged by the feedback score...there is nothing to be afraid of in buying from an owner...dealers usually want a profit and owners want their money back. Just my two cents
