Default First ever...

Y first ever check engine light just came on at 98k miles unfortunately I have a test in like 2 hours so I can't go get the code read until after truck has been idling funny lately.

maybe the low fuel light has disguised itself as the check engine light

So go have the code read when you can. Outside of being shocked it came on, with no info what do you expect to get? Good luck on the test!

Do you think the MAF would cause it to idle funny? It idles fine ,around 800rpm, but if i turn the wheel than it drops to about 450-500rpms and starts to act like it wants to shut off. Im thinking this is somehow tied into why the engine light is on. But idk, ill find our soon enough.

Yeah... If you have never cleaned it.. Thats what i'd do... Easiest way to figure out whats going on is get the codes read tho lol

98K and original plugs...could be a mis fire code too.

Dont they only flash?... Or do they stay illum.... I dont really remember.

Got the code read and its my idler control valve. Im thinking its getting stuck so im going to clean it and see if that fixes the problem.
