Default Farewell for now...

With house repairs, and a possible addition to the family coming up, I needed to bid a farewell to the beast last week. Rusted out transmission lines and leaking power steering pump put us over the edge financially.
As a long time lurker I've learned a ton about pickups and 4x4 systems from you guys and thoroughly appreciate all the help. I gave back as much as I could to pay it forward, but I'll never be able to thank you all enough.

I fell into a new '15 Silverado 1500 Z71, and somehow managed to have smaller payments
See ya'll on the road!

Can fix a hell of a lot for the price of a new truck. I admit the look is growing on me a bit, but I wouldn't buy anything other than an F150 now. Such a bad practice to look at payment amount per month..... As long as you are happy that's all that matters.

You can fix a lot for the price of a new truck but if you dont have the cash now to fix it, then what??? Ditching a truck with expensive repairs for something brand new with warranty and a smaller payment isn't such a bad idea.................however he bought a chevy so booo!

Sharp looking truck. I think the newer GM trucks are sexy as hell, I even find myself not noticing the square wheel wells anymore

Silverado? Jut ranked on top 5 most unreliable vehicles you can buy. (http://www.motor-guides.com/5-least-reliable-cars/) Two Fords also made the list, but neither of them are a truck. Ford or bust when it comes to pickups

Nice truck! Hard to tell from the picture, but is that a short bed or a 6.5' bed?

I knew I'd get a lot of flack for a Chevy lol. Thanks for all the "support" guys
Ace, it's a double cab and comes with a 6.5ft bed.
One of the reasons for switching was the height of almost everything. I'm short (5'5") so 2" lower bed sides, lower windows, and tailgate was an instant sell.

Well, this is a Ford forum; what would you expect?
