Hi there ! I just bought a 05 f150 xlt, it runs great but I have this problem: when I hit the gas hard the safefail mode shows up, and i have to shut up the engine and start it again...
My mechanic connected the scanner but nothing appear... Any ideas ?

Is it while cruising or are you dead stop flooring it?

It may be a dirty throttle body, the throttle body itself or a worn out TPS sensor.. It could also b a rotted out FPDM above your spare tire.
