Default Kilometers to Miles

A friend bought a 2007 F150 XLT and the odometer is in the metric system. Is it possible to change back to miles without taking it to a shop? I don't have access to the vehicle (out of state) so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

1 kilometer = .62137119 miles

40.2336 kilometers per hour = 25 miles per hour

I bought my 2008 across the border and I have not found any easy way to change the odometer from KM to miles myself or through a dealer. I knew this going into it but the savings was worth it. While it may become an issue for resale down the road I just live with it for now, not a big deal. The only option I found that actually seemed possible was to buy a cluster with slightly more miles than I was at and change over when I reached that mileage. That is assuming I could even get the dealer to do it. They told me that that could not just simply reprogram my current cluster. If you come up with some other way I'd be thrilled to hear it.
