Default Failed inspection

I just got back with a big-ol' REJECTED sticker on my truck because my inner tie rods apparently are bad. I'm going to replace them, both outer and inner, with new Moog ones. Never done this before although anyone who's seen me around the forum knows I'm mechanically inclined. That aside, any recommendations or advice before giving it a go?

It's a pretty cut and dry job. I would however recommend getting your alignment checked after your done. I ruined my old 2000$ set of nitto mud grapplers because I didn't get it checked☹

Oh yeah, I'll definitely be getting an alignment once that's done. Just wondering if there's anything unexpected that might pop up. It looks pretty straightforward.

Yea pretty straightforward, remove outer tie rod, remove boot on inner tie rod, rent tool from Autozone or Advance to remove inner tie rod. Replace and then get the alignment checked. I gotta do both on my mustang this weekend as well.

I would love to see mandatory inspections everywhere. I've lived in PA and yes, they are annoying. But there is no doubt that it improves SAFETY for everyone.
