factory tint

does anyone know know what the factory tint % is on the rear windows on the 08 super crew?

i believe its 20% most factory tint is.

i think it depends on which trim package you get. i have the XLT and when i got my windows tinted i told them i wanted the back windows to equal 5% and he said they would put 15% over the factory tint.

They are right around 17-18% but to match the front you need 15% because the windshield allows so much light in.

They put a layer of 15 because with two layers of it it is near 5%.

mine look close to being 35% but I have no way of testing it. I am thinking about having a police officer check it for me.

In Maryland we can only have 35% on the windows.

in maryland, you can only have 35% on the front windows and a 6" strip on the windshield. on a truck, your back windows can be as dark as you want. you can even spray paint them.

Anyone have any pictures of 35% window film on a 150?
I would like to compare the factory tint with the 35%.
