I have 2 factory subs and amps, when testing them, the first set worked. The second did not, I changed the sub from the first box to the second (second box initially did not work) and it worked. The bad sub was the issue when I thought it was a bad amp or wiring. Take a battery (9volt should work) and use a couple of jumper wires to the speaker wires and see if the sub moves or makes a noise. If it does not, chances are is that your sub is bad. Also, you can take your multimeter and verify that there is voltage coming out of your amp to your speaker plug. Let us know how it goes.

Get a volt meter see if the amp is getting power, if it is you might have a bad amp.
