Good deal man, I would love to see how it goes. Might as well write all the measurements down and post them too. I am 100% sure the question will come up again. And if it's a lot better sounding, could be a mod I do as well. I just want it to look factory when someone looks in my window in a dark parking lot.

JL Audio makes a nice shallow sub. I put one in the factory sub box in my Explorer Sport when I had it. Sounded good and fit great.

For what its going to cost you to find a factory sub, buy a aftermarket one and amp. It will be worth it

Agreed. JL Audio is the best quality for your cash, too.


I understand wanting to utilize the factory box, but it seems like you won't get much improvement with the same box and a little bit more juice. I also get that you are not teenagers, but you should have seen the look on my father's face (he's 52) when he heard country music in my pickup. Everyone loves a good punch, even if you listen to classical music.
