Default F150 Lease

Anybody out there, leasing their F150s?

Just curious what kind of payments people are getting or have.

I agree. You're just renting it. For the money they want down you could go buy one. If you want low payments buy a used one. Leasing is for people who can't afford a truck but 'buy' it anyway by leasing. A used truck that is yours is better than a lease that is someone elses. Just my opinion.

11 year old thread aside, there are many good reasons to lease. In fact some of the most wealthy people only lease their vehicles as that frees up cash flow to put the money to work elsewhere. Think of leasing as exactly the same as financing, except you are financing a portion of the vehicle you use. Say you financed a new truck for 4 years, or leased same one for 4 years. If interest rate is the same and you went and sold your financed truck after 4 years your total money outlay should be very similar between the two.

Now comparing leasing a truck every 3 years vs financing, paying it off, and keeping one for 10 years is a whole different apples to oranges comparison.
