Default f150 door code

So I have a quick question, I just bought a 2005 F150 XLT and on the door it has the pin pad. When I bought the truck the owner of the truck did not know the pin also. What do I have to do to reset the pin without knowing the code or do I have to go to the dealer?

Hey I'm not a 100% sure man cuz I've never done it, but I've seen vids were the pin is on a box behind the back seat. YouTube it. You'll get an idea of what I'm talking about.

I needed the keypad code also. I took the back rest off and the security box is on the driver side. There should be a 5 digit number. There should be a sticky on how to remove the back seat. Fairly easy.

Or you can pay 20-30 bucks and get the code from a ford stealership

get like a 12 inch flathead screwdriver if you don't have one, I spent like two hours using smaller ones and it never worked and watch the video, also I found it beneficial to use my fingers to find out where I needed to put the screwdriver.

Like said its behind the back seat rest and its a bugger to get off, a big flat screwdriver and there are 2 pieces you need to pop off on each side, after you get 1 off put a telephone book under the other side to keep it from latching back up

When you find those clips press down on top of the back rest push the clip then toward the back and pull up. It should come off easily, just have to have something holding up while you do the other side. But must unbolt the seat belt thing on top of the back rest. And be carefully taking it off there is something sharp on the bottom of the back rest that could make a hole in your seats.
