When I load a disc in player, I keep getting message that it is a "bad disc'

 

I think it's a bad CD player, not a bad disc.

 

The CD changers in Ford's are notorious for having issues. Mine would only hold one CD, then it wouldn't eject that CD for several months. Finally got it to eject, and it wouldn't take new CD's. I ended up replacing the head unit.

 

Common error in these units. My advice is to upgrade to a new head unit. My guess is CD units aren't terribly popular nowadays. I got a simple Sony touchscreen Bluetooth system with Apple CarPlay. I love it.

Both my trucks have 1 disc players. My '04's has its spells where It dont want to work or quits working in use. My '05 on the other hand works perfect. I agree with Luke on the 6 disc changers. Pieces of ****
