Default extra lights

hey guys maybe you can answer some questions for me. I'm in the process of making a light bar that will mount infront of my front bumper. My truck is a 2007 XLT screw 5.4L and no mods yet. I'm thinking of getting four 55 watt lights or four 100 watt lights but, I don't want to add a second battery or upgrade my alternator. will four 55 watt lights be good enough? or can I do four 100 watt lights without sucking all the power?
What size lights should I go with? I don't think I want something too big, will 7" lights be to big and look stupid? I'm going to wire them so they turn on with my high beams because I do a lot of highway driving at night. the light bar looks like a Smittybilt Street Light Bar.

thanks for your thoughts and post a pic if you have a set up like this.

Cut out some 7 inch cardboard circles if you're really wanting to know how that size would look, tape them up and stand a ways back.
I believe four 55w's would be good enough, unless you want to burn eye retinas to a crisp.

4 100 watt lights is overkill. 4 55w off road lights are fine, just don't plan on running them at all with the engine off....made that mistake once. Only takes about 10 mins before I don't have enough juice to turnover.

For reference, I run 4 Hella Black Magics w/55w HID conversions (4 ballasts), 35w HID headlights and fogs (4 more ballasts), and now 6 6-LED amber lights on the original battery without any problems while running. If I have all the lights on w/o the engine running, the HID lights start to flicker and go out within a minute due to lack of charge. Coming time for a new battery though. Might go with a marine deep cycle to keep a constant charge as the storage decreases while discharging with the engine off.

I can run my Hi/Low Beams w/ Fogs at same time and with my 2 6" KC HiLite SlimLites Off Road 55w there is no drop in battery voltage as shown by my Edge Evolution programmer. I doubt two more 55w will hurt your battery

I went through this gromet. It was easier to reach from under the truck for me

I have two 100 watt light force 6 inch and two 75watt 5 inch light force and I have no issues, I wired them in on a relay, they come on with my highbeams only if the driving light switch is on been running it like that for almost two years

thanks everyone for the input. I took this pic with my cell so sorry about the quality. I used the gromet in the pic from tunaslayer just cause I wanted to have them on a switch. I hope the pics work cause I have $113.00 invested in this set-up lol.
