Default Exhaust removal problem

Hey guys I'm new here. I am attempting to take out my stock exhaust on my 07 f150 Harley to put in a borla cat back. I hacked everything off up to where my new system starts but problem is I can't get the piece that was clamped on,

off. Been soaking it in rust remover to try to loosen it but nothing will budge it. I drilled some holes and stuck a screw driver through it then hooked up a small come along to it but even that won't budge it. What can I do?

What I'm struggling with

If you've got a small grinder, I'd take that band off. Then try to rotate the small piece out.
Or a hand saw with a metal blade, seeing how you could light all that remover ablaze lol.

Tried to twist it off by sticking a screw driver through it but it literally does not budge. What were you saying I should do with a grinder?

I can't tell in the picture and I apologize if this is a silly question, but have you loosened the band? If you didn't, it'll never come out. If the bolt is too rusted, take a grinder to it as joeisalsocool write or hacksaw... that probably will light up hahaha.

Exhaust is never fun I find...

Haha I wish I was that stupid. Be a easy fix. . I didn't want to cut it off cause borla didn't send me one for there. . But after two hours on it I guess it's worth a shot lol

The clamp has to come off.
You can also take off the clamp by the transfer case and remove that piece of pipe if the clamp (where you cut) won't come off.

hahaha ok, I did figure that, I had to ask though!

You may need to pull it back and try to expand the join more (where the slit is). It sounds like it's pretty rusted in there though.

I wouldn't worry about that clamp. Yank it, slip the muffler on, and bring it to a shop to have it welded. I used to clamp only on all my old vehicles, just for convenience. Never again! lol
