Default Exhaust Question...

Hey guys dont worry this isnt another "which exhaust sounds best?" thread. My question is this, im planning on doing either MBRP or Magnaflow cat back (whichever has less drone) and was wondering if getting duals (either rear or side exit) will produce more drone that SI/SO. What do you guys think?

I dont think so. It all has to do with the muffler not the pipes.

If you tow I'd go with a side exit, that way the sound won't bounce off a trailer and come right back towards the cab.

Thanks for the replies! I think I'm going to go with a side exit, just dont know if i want single, dual on one side, or dual coming out behind both tires.

I love my MBRP SI/SO. Nothing like looking at the back of the truck and seeing that fat 3.5" tubing.

Ya the magnaflows also come with 3.5" tips. But I have heard more about the drone on MBRP than magnaflow. What do you guys think... Duals coming out behind the passanger rear? Or duals coming out behind both rear tires?

Not 3.5" tips, the tailpipe is 3.5".
