ok guys my truck now has stock exhaust manifolds that leak and just straight pipes no muffler or resonator. i like the sound 90 % of the time but it does drone around 1800 -2000 rpm. one of the main uses for this truck is hunting as well as quadding , hauling stuff once in a while and maybe a daily drivers for winter only.

im installing longtube headers soon on the truck and since i use it for hunting i want it quiet during hunting and loud and bassy on the street.

do i just remove the magnaflow 6 inch round can every hunting season for a month and put back the stock ford muffler or is it worth it to put in an adjustable cutout a guy can get and switch back n forth at will[just have to crawl under and switch it over]

how well do these things work?
do they rust up or even come in 3" sizes?
will they even seal up enuff to be quiet? says it doesnt and has that old school sound, whatever that means?
