Default exhaust fix

Took my 07 f150 supercrew in to the dealership where I bought it to fix the "holey" exhaust. They're making me pay them 100 bucks to fix it. The whole right side is sprinkled with holes and the left rear mounting bracket is busted off, leaving a half dollar hole where the mount was attached. Think 100 bucks is robbery or I'm I getting a good deal?

Would say you're getting a steal of a deal for $100. Hard to get anything more than an oil change for less than $100 at a dealership. Seems a tad premature for exhaust rot for an '07 - you drive a lot of gravel roads? They will likely just patch the holes with compound, should get you at least another year out of it.

If they're welding in new pipe that's a steal! If they're patching holes, I'd say keep your $100 and put it towards going to a muffler shop and getting new pipes welded on

A steal unless they are just putting a patch over a pipe that is bad already. If one hole is there, you can bet there will be more! Find out how much it will cost to replace it. You might be better off going that route.

Just bought it, so no idea. But I'm sure they're just patching it.

Where did the truck come from with so many holes? Mines a 2005 and solid as new. The truck was from Texas and now resides in Florida.

My muffler had a small hole in it, and since I didn't feel like dropping a ton of $$$$ on a system, I just had a friend weld in a piece of straight exhaust pipe. Doesn't sound great, but its not too bad either for just whacking the muffler off. At $20, I'm not goin complain.

It's an aftermarket exhaust so I think it was off a different truck since my undercarriage is good to go.

So got a call today, they're replacing the whole exhaust with a stock replacement, had duals on there, oh well I guess I can survive quietly for a lil while.
