ok first disconnect the negative battery connection to reset the computer while ur working, it well reset itself after 15 min of beeing disconnected, standing in front of ur truck the num 1 bank is to ur left(passenger side) the sensor is on the front of the head, its the only one there, its got an 8mm bolt holding it on, remove it and pull it out, install the new one and presto ur done, shouldnt even take u the 15 min it takes for the computer to reset itself, if ur not sure about the sensor there is one in the same location on the opposite side, there both on the front of the engine below the valve cover, hope i helped and didnt make things more conplicated lol

I have a similar situation. I was told that my problem is the " Engine Temp Coolant Sensor". Where is that located?

So.. I got the sensor all changed out now. I haven't noticed any difference really, but haven't driven too far. I've got to drive a bit tomorrow so I guess I'll see then. But Thanks a ton for your help stp. I really appreciate it.

I drove my truck about 75 km this morning and I'm definitely noticing a little bit more throttle response. Not huge, but slightly noticeable. Changing the sensor also seemed to eliminate a shudder It had when coming to a stop at stop lights. I'm contemplating changing the bank 2 sensor as well just to see if that does anything....

no problem guys, ive been through the same problem and was getting pretty frustrated and people here helped me out , bye the way check all vacuum lines for cracks, these engines dont like losing vacuum and well do weird things, my truck was running 10 % lean on bank 2 and wasnt throwing any codes, my programmer is what picked it up, it was the elbow in the brake booster line

After driving around a bit more yesterday it seems that the shudder at idle has not been fixed. I guess it just doesn't show up when I first start driving. Only when the truck is warm. So I'm not too sure what is going on with it..
