Default engine won't start

swerved to miss an oncoming car and went through a puddle at 30 mph. 1/4 mile later truck engine died.
waited for over an hour and couldn't restart... trying to turn over but not all the way.
any ideas on what could be the problem and how to fix?
thanks

I’d start with pulling the spark plug boots off and blowing water out of the wells and drying the coils and wires.

What do you mean by “trying to turn over”?

is starter cranking engine (at normal speed) but it’s not starting? Or, is starter not no longer able to turn the motor over at the normal rate/speed to make it fire up?

Might start when it fully dries out.

It's been over a week since it died. Minimal information was provided so it's unlikely any useful help can be provided at this point.

you didn't answer the question about the engine cranking over. When you try to start it, does it crank over or is it nothing?
