Still are. I enjoy running it; ours is a 20' bed truck with an arm that can pivot to swap between a flat bed and a roll-off box. One time we'd tried to yank a bollard out of the ground with said arm, and it just jacked the front of the truck a good 6' off the ground. Pretty cool from the driver's seat!

We're actually unloading a bunch of F350 crew cab powerstrokes (actually the entire Ford fleet, about 10 trucks)... all 2011s with under 40k miles. I think they're going to auction, looking to get under $20 per truck. They *might* be on the GSA website.

We have a couple of Cummins 903s that I'd love to throw in a truck, but that's a pipe dream.

We have 2 2017 f650 dump trucks at work. They have the 6.7 powerstroke. Good trucks but not as good as the cummins is imo

We hate the powerstrokes; one of our 450 has swallowed 2 injectors by 45k miles.

One of the boats has twin Cummins V12s. More power than we've ever come close to tapping, but sips the fuel. Our newest guzzler with Cats burns 250 gallons an hour.

One of our international trucks with the DT466 needs new injector(s) every 15k-20k miles it seams like. Back in march, the injector on cylinder 5 got stuck open and diesel fuel leaked through the piston ring into crankcase. Replaced that injector and the oil no more issues since. I think the pre emissions dt466 are a good motor. But late models, I'm not a fan

That’s a bit much. It’s a factory option and the factory did it plenty. Shouldn’t be much different than a 10th Gen 4.6-5.4 swap. Swap engine, computer, probably torque converter and that’s most of it?

I’d hope not. That’s just asking to turn the trans into scrap metal. Besides, the 16-valve 4BTA made beginning in 1999 knocked out 170hp/420tq. Not shabby in an F150. Still weighs 800#, though. I’d just about like to find a RCSB Super Duty to drop one in.

Hell I wouldn't dare to attempt to bolt a 4r75e. The toughness of the diesel would shred it to pieces

170HP would make for a slow accelerating truck, would it not?

I you really want to turn heads, swap in a Detroit 4-92 or maybe even a 6v-71.

In our heavy trucks absolutely. Would make a decent tower though
