Default 06 5.4l 3v to 460 swap! can bus help!!

Alright all you electonic guru's, I need your help. I have a 2006 f150 and the less than reliable 5.4l 3v just locked up on me. I've been playing around with the idea of putting a 460 in it but I run into 1 problem. CAN bus. I was wondering if any of you have done this swap or one like it and how you got the systems to integrate. If I don't keep the gauge cluster will my windows, locks, radio, ect still work or what would I have to do to get it to work? Thanks, Dylan.

Why would you take a step backwards? A 460 had it's place, but compared to a 5.4 3v it is a heavy turd that doesn't have as much power and uses more gas.

Do as you please, it's your truck and you're money, but by the time you figure out all the head aches and put the money into making that swap, you could have a remanned 5.4 put in and be far happier.

Well it's not really the motor I would put anything but a 5.4 in it they are just bad engines. The fact that mine locked up at 100,000 miles is ridiculous. That's with regular maintenance constant watch. I just need to know the can bus problem

And the fact that it's 2500$ for a used 5.4 with 160,000 miles is ridiculous.

Where are you located? You can get one from powertrain products for about 3300.

Also, what caused the failure? The 5.4 may have it's issues, but I don't believe it's a bad engine.
