To the OP this is a big problem-to Ford it's a feature. "New Start Stop Technology saves huge money on fuel and saves the planet." Not so much Start/Stop, more like just the Stop part. Doubtless related to one of the many "Better Ideas" that Ford has every so often. Next is the octagonal wheel, cause round wheels are so 20th century.

No. This is a 2004-2008 subforum. It does not have a stop start feature. Plus this is a old dead thread someone brought back for no apparent reason.

Default 2018 towing manual restart

I had an issue with my f 150 shutting down with a message requiring a manual restart. When I restarted it would immediately shut off again. After a number of times of this happening I moved on to google and this thread came up. Has there been any progress on what is causing the issue. The dealership of course said that because it is not throwing a code and they can't reproduce the issue there is nothing to be done but wait for it to cause a larger issue. I'm sick to my stomach that the larger issue will probably present after the powertrain warranty is up. Any thoughts other than filling out a NTSB complaint/notice?

You need to post in the proper subforum for your vehicle if you want good help. This is the 04-08 forum.

Total agreement with post 16 but I see you are new to the Forum so to get to the correct Forum
Select Forums (top left side of screen) then
Select Late Model F150s then
Select 2015- 2020 Ford F150
Use a title that points to your issue
Welcome aboard!

Cquinn it may be better to start your own thread on this . You need to list codes and miles . What have you done to this truck -you should inspect your fpdm on the rear axle first .

Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) is located above the spare tire under the truck.
