Engine misfiring.....HELP!
In the shop I work at, we have only seen bad coils causing misfires. Some are more stuble but you can use a scanner to read the misfire monitor and watch the counts even if you can;t "feel" it. Last coil I priced for a 5.4 was about $20, plugs should also be done if either a bad coil or injector. A small coil tester can be used to quickly pinpoint which coil is faulty if that is the case.

Had to replace all 8 fuel injectors! WTF Ford?!
52K miles and they crap out on me. Now my engine doesn't seem the same at all.
The 2005's have the extened warrenty on the injetors and nothing on the 2006, correct? Does anyone know?

i had a misfire on cyl. 6 the other day, got a new coil and plug for 180 (dignosed, parts, repair) and the guy said replacing anything else is unnecessary.

All eight injectors huh? I guess they are covering their bases with your wallet.
It was legit. I took it to my mechanic, who is a good friend, I have known for a long time. He wouldn't have ripped me off. The first garage I towed it to said the same thing, but i had it towed out of there because the mechanic just sat on his thumbs and couldn't get the part.
