the most gas i have ever put in my car was 23 galons and that was with 3 miles to empty...when you usually hit about 1/4 tankish, it will tell u, 50 miles to E, and it will beep...but apparently AFTER 0 miles, a fuel light will turn on, and thats when you are on reserve...yeah it would add up about right if the reserve tank is about 5 galons give or take, on a 27 galon tank...i will be looking that up soon...i complain about gas just about every 5 mins, yet i am always speeding around like a r-tard....

I don't remember seeing a fuel light light up after it went to zero on mine. I had mine (and yes I know this is bad) so low on fuel it was trying to stall when it would shift gears. I have never seen a car do that before but it was chocking When I filled it up I think it took around 29 gals I don't try to make that a habit. I just keep forgetting everytime I pushed the button to shut that DAMN chime up

Default low fuel

NGM my friend, the fuel pickup is always at the bottom. Running low won't let crud get in your lines. Fuel is filtered pretty good these days anyway. I can't imagine running low could hurt a vehicle but it can't be a good idea.

I know its at the bottom, but when you run it low the trash is centered where the fuel is not spread out thru the bottom of the tank ot mixed up in the tank. As for the fuel being filtered you are right it is filtered very well, but if it were filtered so good that no trash ever got in anyones tank, then we would never need to change the fuel filter, hell we wouldn
t need fuel filters by your reckoning. I will just keep my tank at least 1/2 full you can do what you want it won't change my paycheck at my shop one bit. When I give advice its from expierence, not talking out the side of my neck. I try to help ppl on here and other boards get the most out of their vehicle. If they don't wanna listen thats on them, but I know what I am talking about. I promise.

Never half empty.. I am a positive kinda guy. Glad the repair is relativly cheap for ya. I don't know anything about octane boosters. I figure by the time I pay for enough octane booster to boost it from 87 to something worth while can pay the extra 6 or 8 bucks and run premimum..Which is what I run with the tune thats on her now.

I usually run my truck until the needle is right above E. I usually get between 30-32 gallons to fill it up. With these gas prices, 87 is costing me about $92.00. But I get about 450 miles a tank

yeah see, down here in the area i live in of miami, 93 oct. is close to about 30 cents + over 87 octane, so the oct. booster would b worthwhile to me...but w/e...not gonna do it anytime soon...

If you have a 30 gallon tank running 93 would cost you 9.00 more to fill up with premimum. How much octane booster would it take to raise your octane from 87 to 93?? You also have to be careful not to get too much octane.
