Default Electric Fan.

Hey guys. I am thinking about changing out my belt driven fan with dual electric fans. The ones I want are the Flex-Lites. They claim to improve MPG, HP, and torque with extending engine life.

Have any of you changed to an electric fan and if so would you recommend it?????

Thanks in advance!

This write up is really good. https://www.f150forum.com/f72/my-efa...p-w-pics-7032/
Also, the 09+ 5.4 has an efan from the factory.

Yes the 09+ will work for this generation. If I'm right BlownFord has actually done this modification, and a couple of other members have.

There are several write ups on e-fan installs. Use the search and type in "e-fan" or "efan".

Also, take a look at the sticky at the top of this forum for "STOP LOOK.....common threads"

Also note that the one post offered here did not use a radiator shield; this could cause some lost efficincy and/or overheating issues with only one e-fan used. It's highly recommended that a shield be used. Consider using a Mark VIII fan conversion. Search it, it also has a post with pictures/proceedure for installation.
