Default Edge returned to "stock" program

How long do you have to wait or how many miles do you have to put on a vehicle after it's returned to the stock program before you can take it to the dealer? Don't want them knowing Edge is being used.

I was told to disconnect the battery and wait 10 minutes or so then reconnect it will erase any memory of having a programmer on the vehicle. If asked about anything use the excuse you left the lights on or something like that and killed the battery....

it takes time and miles for the computer to forget it had a tuner, that's what the garage told me, they don't care i have a tuner. why do you have to remove it?

Default Egde resetting to stock

When you say garage, are you talking about the Ford dealer? I was under the impression the dealership frowned upon using a computer chip to "enhance" performance and could cancel extended warranties.

A mod friendly dealer is hard to find these days.I have found one in my area and nothing was said about the CAI or exhaust so I will stick with them for all of my warranty work...Good luck....

main reaont to remove it is incase the dealer decides to reflash the truck with current updates. just return to stock and let them have it. i do mine in the parking lot of the dealer and take the programer out or remove the cable from the obd-2 port.
