Yep, read the manual and it's got the step by step on raising it up when you do the custom program.

Yup, but if you break the governors speed limit the OBDII will record your top speed and if you ever take it to the dealer they will be able to see you went over the 98 (i think thats what the govener is at) and will give you hell and void your warranty.

yea, when your installing the program it asks you if you want to make a custom tune, thats where you can tweak all the settings like speed limiter, rev limiter, shift points, etc.

what about disconnecting the battery cables for a few minutes and letting the pcm reset itself, maybe it will clear that data.

are you sure, i think ill call BS on that one the dealer cant tell you how fast you can go, now if you damage something and they prove that the high speed was involved in the premature failure you might have something....

Stock is set to 99mph, as said above really easy to raise it with the Edge/Gryphon. But you have a 4x4 truck thats heavy and not real safe above 100mph so why raise it??? I don't think the PCM is capable of recording the mph or anything else for that matter as long as you clear the KAM from it by disconnecting the battery

According to my friend at the dealer (diesel tech manager) the OBDII records and manages everything. It records what the max speed obtained was, max rev reached etc. Unplugging the cables and letting it sit for a while will reset it, but the dealer can see how many times the computer has been reset, it keeps a cache. Dont believe me? Unplug your cluster and plug it into another truck, your truck millage will show up on the other truck. The OBDII works the same way, even if you unplug it, it is capable of retaining the memory. Thats what Im told anyway, and ive seen the cluster swap for myself multiple times so i believe it. And to answer your question, no i am not one of those guys that insists putting a programmer will void your warranty. I run an edge every single day and am not worried about warranty (i use the canned tunes) A dealer is required to prove the programmer caused the problem, raising the rev/speed limiter, can cause a problem, the programmer allowed you to do that, i.e., voided warranty. Just a heads up before you go playing in the custom tune setting of the edge.

I've been thinking about an Edge programer. One of the things that has my interest is the MPG. How much better can it get and what do they mean the milage is reflected on how you drive?
