Summers22, what do you like about #2? Mine was converted to Gryphon and the guy I got it from says it has some custom tunes, so I will look for those.

You most likely will not get those custom tunes to load into your truck; companies that create them for customers assign them to a vehicle VIN to prevent them from being used in another vehicle. The custom tuner shops are in business to make money, so allowing a custom tune to load in any vehicle would loose them money.

Hopefully the person that sold you this tuner (used?) did not mislead you into thinking his/her custom tunes would work on your truck, and charged you a higher price for the tuner.

I've heard that converting an Edge over to the Gryphon software adds their general tunes, which are supposed to be more aggressive then those that came with the Edge tuner. Maybe this is what the seller was referring to?

He never mentioned them until I got the unit and asked him a question on loading. I was happy to pay the 200 bucks for what I got. Makes sense on the personal programs. I gotta admit I love the way the truck drives, firm shift and it fixed my idle issues.

It's a good tuner; I'm very happy with mine as well. One of these days, I'll convert it over to the Gryphon software.

Yeah you can't run the previous owners custom tunes either. PHP writes ever tune to only work with one truck's HEX code. I bought my gryphon used too and the person I got it from had custom tunes. So I tried to use them on my truck and it didn't work. Which sucks. But I agree with summers. I'd program it to level 2 and then get some custom tunes from PHP.
