Not sure if this is related, but I had the same issue with mine. But my truck would actually throw a code. I don't remember what the specific code was, but I added an airaid intake right before the programmer. I had to take the intake off and throttle body and clean the throttle body. Since then I have had no issues with it at all.

 

I agree with what 08f150stx mentioned. Call edge, it shouldn't make a difference if you bought it new or used, bottom line is you have THEIR product therefor they should help you in my opinion.... Good luck.
