Guy I work with has an Edge Evolution programmer for sale. He says it will work on 04-07 F150 5.4Ls. Shouldn't it work on an 08, as well? Does $200 sound fair? What things should I look for if purchasing it? I came from mustangs, where SCTs had to be unlocked/unmarried from the previous owner's vehicle. Are the Edge's similar? Thanks.

 

Edge Evo 15051 is the part number for 04-08 V-8's ... Make sure it is set back to stock..plug it in to either he's or your truck and make sure it reads 0 in the upper left hand corner...0 is stock...if it read 1,2 or 3 do not buy it till it gets set back to stock..it will not work on your truck...$200 is a great price if all is working properly..it may come with the Pod which is $40 itself. Did some reading up on it. It looks as if it's set up out of the box for a stock vehicle. Can you push custom tunes to it over the web like the SCT programmers? Not that I'm looking to, but want to make sure it has the fixed box tunes and not custom ones built for the previous owner's specific set-up/mods.

 

It would be converted to a Gryphon if it had custom tunes installed. you can not just down load custom tunes to an Edge Evo.
