Default Edge Evolution Programmer

I was wondering if anybody on here has one or has had one of these in the past. I've been debating for awhile now about getting a programmer, and just wanted some back round from some real people.

I have a Edge Evolution programmer, and it's the best mod I've ever spent money on. I'm sure everyone that replies to this thread will say the same too. Good luck on the decision.

Let me chime in. I have one and it is AWESOME!!!! I bought mine used off of Craigslist, updated it, and installed in the truck. It really wakes the beast up. So much more alive and fun to drive now. After that, I bought rims and bigger tires and the truck still runs great. I'm not sure about the gas savings they advertise, because I added the tires shortly after installing this tuner, and I also believe it takes gas to make power. I recommend.

Oh yeah, I run mine on level 2 tune with adjustments on the tire size.

I have an edge evolution color screen. I don't really need it for "tuning" but I love the transmission only setting which crisps up the shifts so they arent so sluggish and for towing the race car (program #2) it really made a difference. I've never run the highest level because frankly I don't feel like running premium or running my truck like a race car but it's nice to know it's there. The gauges that is provides however are a real piece of mind when you want to know what's going on. My 07 screw FX4 doesnt have a mpg calculator so having that is also very nice and to see exact numbers for your battery voltage and coolant temp can really let you know what's going on before you get stranded.

My opinion - well worth the money! And even more if if you can one for used a great price. JUst make sure if you do that it has been reset on the prior owners truck first!

I have the PHP Gryphon which is very similar to the evolution. Hands down the best money spent on the truck. I knew I was getting bigger tires so I needed the speedo recalibrated anyways so I went ahead and purchased it. I have ran it on all 3 levels and all I have to say is wow. I ran it on level 3 for a few tanks of gas to see how it would do. If you can keep your foot out of it I found that I got better gas mileage on level 3. Very nice modification and you will not be disappointed. Only reason I went with the Gryphon over the Evolution was because I knew I wanted some custom tunes. If you can find either used for a good price I would go for it! Check out the for sale part of the forum here or go over to php forum to see if you can find a Gryphon there.

I've had mine for a month or two and have kept it on level two the whole time. As mentioned, it's really good to have the fuel mileage computed, as well as tranny temp, etc. Without the tuner my truck has a really sensitive throttle. It is nearly impossible to move from a standing start without spinning both rear tires. I don't know why, it's always been that way. Anyway, with the tuner set to level two, power application is much smoother and more predictable.
