I did a quick search the Gryphon looks the same as the Evolution? are they made by the same company? what is the difference?

 

Not the same company...they are basically the same though. Edge is the company that makes the Evolution. An engineer named Bill worked for Edge and now runs PHP which makes the Gryphon which is essentially a re-badged Edge Evolution. It just has different graphics and a different software package.

 

Just to expand on what 06F150CFCT said. A Gryphon is basically the Edge on steroids. PHP has even made it simple enough now that you don't have to send the unit in to be "converted". The better software can do custom tuning, which can make a tune for your specific truck, driving style, and mods. The tunes can be for performance or towing in any octane instead of being limited by what the Edge has.

And most importantly it'll give more power and while doing it safely, which can lead to mileage gains. Just remember the driver is the most important factor in any mileage gains.
