Default Edge Evo Fail Code

Hey gang, new here. Did a lot of reading throughout the years with your guys knowledge on any questions I usually have.

However, I did a search and couldnt find anything. I bought a edge evolution this morning and went to install it this afternoon. As soon as i go to download any of the specs (1 tranny only - 2 Towing - 3 performance) it shows the bar downloading and after it finishes, it gives me a "checksum fail TEJF3D5."

I looked everywhere on line and couldnt find anything, do any of you guys know what I am doing wrong or what i need to do to get this thing working...

Thanks a lot for your help.

Scott

Alright boys I finally got it.

I'll write something up here in case it happens to anyone else, since I have got some much info from you guys here, heres my .2.

When I went to install the edge programmer everything worked fine until it went to download the pcm's it would show the bar downloading and after it would give a "checksun file fail."

What this means (worked for me anyway) is you need to download the latest software from edgeperformance.com. Download the fusion. After you hook up the edge programmer to the computer it will automatically ask if you want to restore the stock setting to the programmer, hit yes.

This will in turn put everything back to the out of box state. After the update follow the instructions on how you would normally install the programmer to the truck, and everything works from there.

Hope this helps anyone else that comes across this, thanks again for all the replies, doesn't surprise me though, good people here.
