Default Edge evo custom settings

So I bought an edge evo cs programmer and love it. But I'm interested in tweaking the timing in the performance tune for 94 octane. I've been on the other edge threads and have an idea of what to do but I haven't seen many custom settings for the 4.6. Will other users custom setting work with my smaller v8 or will I have to change certain parameters?

Same settings will work, but find what feels good to you. The best setting is getting true custom tunes, Gyphon conversion, but you can firm up the shifts and change the timing. Don't go overboard with shift firmness and messing with TC lock/unlock and be sure the shift points are at least 500 rpm below your rev limit.

So what I'm wondering is if I modify one setting (ie. shift fitness or timing) in the performance program will the rest of the settings remain stock or will they be baselined at the performance setting?

The rest will stay where they were set. Even for things like gear ratio when you go to make a custom program there are place holder values (it'll say 3.31 for gear ratio) and then goes and finds the correct ratio from the stock tune when it writes the program.
