Default PHP Tune and New Engine / Good combo????

Hey all,

I am getting a new remanned FORD engine put in my 2004 FX4. I ordered a PHP performance 87 tune in october. Once I get my new engine should I not use the tune on it? I surely don't want to go through a new engine process again. I don't want the tune to cause premature wear.

What should I do?

Thanks

Is your HEX code for the new motor going to be the same? I'm assuming they're reusing the PCM. Should be fine to use the tune. What caused the first motor to fail? It most likely wasn't the tune.

With tuning you should be running the motor more efficiently and easier than the stock tune. Bump your idle speed up to keep oil pressure up on the new motor, it helps from starving the phasers of oil at low rpms.
