Default E brake

So i just got home and backed into my driveway as usual, set the e-brake and it goes straight to the floor with little tension. I knew something wasn't right so with the brake still to the floor i put it back in D and just at idle i was over powering my e-brake. This is the first time I've experienced this as it usually goes about half way down and actually holds the truck. I was posting to ask if this is a usual flaw in these trucks or if anyone has seen this before? I didn't get under to look at the lines or anything I will check to see if something is wrong tomorrow morning.

My E-Brake is the same way but it always has been since I bought it. If I completely floor the E-Brake pedal it will hold my truck. I think it might have to do with the fact that I need to replace my pads and possibly rotors. Just did the front this weekend gonna wait till next month for a little bit more cash flow to do the rear.
