Default Duratrac Balancing

Hey guys..

a friend of mine just got 285/75 R17's with procomp wheels..
hes having real bad balancing issues, especially because the weights wont clear the caliper because we have to add so many..

that aside..

Im all excited for my new duratracs i will be getting soon, but now im worried about balancing, and it doesn't look like i have alot of room for weights on my stock 18" rim either.
im getting 295/65/R18

if you have to put that many wights on you need to get the set replaced. becuause that is just CRAZY! I know that from tire to tire there can be irregularities and our tires are big which can cause the irregularities to be exaggerated but that is really bad. Is it like this on all the tires or just the one? if its all of them it could also be the person balancing the tires or the balancer it self.

its on all the tires, some a little worse than others but still all bad, took it to hyundai and fountain tire.. same thing

apparently it has something to do with the rims and how much offset there it.

well first i would try spining the tire on the rim then try to rebalance it, also if your only static balancing a wheel its much hard to get them right and can take more weight

we ended up using dynabeads.

so far we put 8oz in each tire. helped alot, still a little vibe, going to put 2-3oz more in each and see if it makes it smoooth

I would be nervous putting that kinda stuff in my tires. I would be worried it would wear the inside of the tire..,...im not saying it will cause wear inside the tire i just have never seen it on a daily driver before. i have seen it on many a mud truck that spent short times on the road but at high speed for a long time i would be afraid of additional wear inside the tire.....just my 2Cents though

Well. I'm sitting at a and w and my duratracs are getting put on right now. But they are going on my stock rims, so they should balance with no issue. I'm just curious for when I get new rims, I'm thinking xd addicts are gonna look real nice.
