Default dumb questions about recalls

how do you find out if the recalls for your truck have been taken care of?

my local ford stealership isnt exactly the best of places.... u ask them something they act dumb as hell like they dont know what your talking about..

Ford has a computer base that will show if your VIN has been done.

ok ill call the other ford stealership in the next town..

what about service bullentins... what exactly are those.. do they get treated like recalls?

Service bulletins are just information on how to fix common issues with the truck. However, they are not covered like a recall would be. Recalls are for issues that can cause a safety hazard to the driver. Service bulletins are for known problems like the spark plugs.

ok that makes sense.. i was looking over some recalls/bulletins.. it looks like my recall for the brake hose has been taken care of, the headlight reflective problem not to worried about cause im doing after market once motor issues are fixed..

but then i ran across bulletin about possible bad pcm and the current code.. so it all just struck mu curiosity
