Tells me its the switches - but the switch on both the drivers door, and malfunctioning door, do not work. Does that make sense?
yes because all the power from your other doors are controlled through the master switch.

Yes it makes sense, the switches at the driver door are the master switches all the power goes through those switches even if operated from any of the other switches. So cleaning or replacing the drivers switches should fix the problem all around.

Man alsatropine just posted a minute before me we must have been typing at the same time so you beat me to it.

i just had this exact problem. just purchased my first f150. 04 XLT super crew. rear passenger window would go down but not up from master switch. it DOES go up at the door itself.

found a nice write up explaining that the contacts in the master door switch is known for getting dirty and preventing that contact needed to go up or down. i pulled mine out and cleaned in less than 30 mins. put back together and now good to go.

as long as you still feel/hear the clicking noise when hitting the buttons, you most likely just have a problem with dirty contacts.

there is in write up on this site but pics are not loading for me for some reason so here is a nice one for another site. i will note that when you have module in hand, pop off each button with flat head from under it before trying to disassemble the box.

hope this helps.

You have to check the wires coming through the door. I had broken ones twice. They are not long enough.

Where did you find your broken wires?

Remove the rubber boot in the door jam. The wires had actually worn in two because they were not long enough. When it happened the second time I extended all of them. Pain in the ... but fixed it for good hopefully.

Good day all!!

I just got my new (to me) 05 FX4 and it has all kinds of issues... I pulled the window switch out today because my auto down wasn't working... I cleaned it all up and it's all good now... I think it quit working because the toggle cover isn't there... I can buy a new switch off ebay, like many have said on here... But, I figure why buy a good switch to just get the cover? If anyone that has replaced their faulty switch recently want to send me the cover for the drivers door, I'll make a donation to your truck upgrade fund... And shipping of course...

Thanks much!!!

Cheers!!

Both windows work fine from the controls in the back seat?

Is this a bad switch in the drive side door control or is it a bad connection?

On another note the cruise control doesn't work, they are replacing the PCM, is that going to fix it my window issue?
I had the same problem,I fixed mine by adding a small piece of paper between the switch and the switch cover, just fold a small piece of paper and push it in the small tiny square hole on the switch cover, I'll post pictures later.
