Default Dreaded spark plug replacement.....

My truck has 96,000 miles on it and I decided it was time to replace the plugs. I've known that this was coming up, so about a month ago, I did a de-carb service on it, put a can of BG 44K in the tank and drove it to Ventura, CA and back.

I was dreading the worst, but had all 8 plugs replaced in 2 hours and didn't brake a single one!

Is there a good walk through on how to do this? I was goofing around with my heat gun and noticed a couple cylinders ad way lower temp then the others... Guess its time.

My local ford dealer quoted 500 best case and 1000 worst case. I'm gonna get some more quotes for non ford dealers on Monday but unless I find someone who is around 300 I'm doing it myself

Care to explain that. Never heard of the heat gun method to determine spark plug condition.

Like a temp gun.... Shoot the exhaust manifold where it attaches to the head. 2 of my cylinders were cold which means the gas isn't igniting in there. May not be plugs but a good place to start
