Dreaded front end clunk
Hey guys, im new to this forum thing. but anyways, I have a 2006 F150 supercrew cab. I am having a clunking noise from what sounds like the front of the truck. I have bilstien 5100 set at 2in. I have replaced uca's, tie rod assembly, sway bar links and bushings, lower ball joints, cv axles. Everything seems to be tight. I have this noise when hitting a very small ditch or any small bump. No noise when driving on smooth road. No noise when driving over 20mph basically that i can hear, bump or not. Any ideas??

Check your coil springs for a broken coil or loose mounting points

Sounds like you have changed all the clunkers..

I would ALSO like to find the same 'annoying' clunk in my 2004. It sounds EXACTLY like a loose ball joint, but upper & lower are new as are tie rod ends and wheel bearings. It is not loud but definitely from the front. I notice it only when things are quiet and hit a small bump, such as when crossing over the edge of the concrete driveway from the street. Can't make it do it by rocking the truck or the usual method of checking for slack in ball joints.
COULD it be a small amount of slack in the gears of the racket pinion steering mechanism, and if so HOW can you remove the slack?

Check the lower strut bolts. They have to be TIGHT.
This is a common source of rattle in the front end.

right?? Which is leading me to think maybe an engine mount of body mount..something dumb..but I don't know how to check the mount considering they are for the most part enclosed enough to where you can't see the internal of the bushings
