Door center hinge

Default Door center hinge

Havin trouble with the center door strut or hinge it is cracking twice or popping when I open or close the door tried greasing it no luck do I have to remove the front fender to replace need help

You shouldn't need to remove the front fender to replace it but you do have to remove the entire door. But that's only if it is so bent out of shape or broken that it's useless.

On my truck the only way to remove this is from in behind the door Frame the only way I can see to get it out is from that way there Are two studs attaching it to the door but its the other two studs when I let them go you can't get it out unless you are able to reach at it from behind so that's why ime thinking I will have to take the fender off my truck to uninstall and reinstall this piece

Just looked at mine and checked out my Haynes Manual which gives a step-by-step. Doesn't say anything about removing the fender. Looks tight but very much possible without removing the front fender.

Also I want to get new alloy black rims and bigger tires 18" what size tire would be best for my truck in a larger size
