The TBL is definitely tied to CC.

Mine works. I have an led in there with a resistor. Fully removed the foam gasket and applied a thick bead of clear rtv silicone and let it set for 12 hours before installation. If you don't let it set you'll just epoxy the housing to the cab and may destroy it if you ever need to remove.

That was 2 years ago and I haven't had a leak or any issues.

All things being equal, is your entire setup stock? Is there an led resistor in there? Do you have the ep27 flasher relay installed?

If cruise control is working, the system thinks the bulb is still working for some reason.

The tail lights are also tied to this circuit as well.

EP27 refers to the flasher relay that's under the dash. If you install LED bulbs in the tail light housings for your turn signals, the stock relay flasher will cause the turn signals to flash rapidly. Installing the EP27 flasher corrects this. It also works with non LED turn signal bulbs, so its a win win, in case you ever have to replace an LED bulb with a conventional filiment type bulb.
