I was always curious about this. Everyone is afraid of a dealer catching them with one mounted to the dash while under warranty. And Ford has their software guys explicitly program these settings with the cost of warranty issues and motor longevity in mind. So I believe everyone is getting more power, etc. I just wonder at what expense?

Like the previous poster said. This is Ford's bread and butter, with competition and sales, etc. They have to put out the best performing product they can. They are aware of these things and the software changes they can do, so if they tell dealers to void warranties when they see them, makes you wonder why??

I've been running an Edge for over 35k miles with no problem's. Truck has 70k miles on it now and run's better than it did stock. I commute right under a hundred miles a day round trip and average 16 mpg.

I had the Diablo Sports Predator on my truck for 70K. I changed all the shift points to max them out. I drove the **** out of the truck, and never had any problems. I took the programmer off of my truck before I got rid of it. I am trying to sell it for $200. If you are interested and still looking for one send me a PM

Oh and to the post above. The programmer saves the factory settings, and only takes a minute to put it back to stock, so if you have to take it to the dealership you just set it back to stock. It doesn't mount to the dash either. It plugs in under the dash, and unplugs after you re-program the ecu

a tuner doesn't change stuff enough to hurt anything. now in the diesel world, you can rip the trans out in no time, but not on a gasser. i have had mine on for the last 15k miles and no issues.

yup. my dad put a quadzilla when he had about 35k miles on a 06 250 and ripped it all up after about 20,000 with the zilla. he does alot of heavy towing and heavy work so it added up, so traded it in for the 08 250
